Dr. Chris knew from an early age that he wanted to work in a health related field. He always had a fascination with the human body and how it worked and performed. However, it wasn’t until playing high school football and sustaining a fairly serious neck injury that he discovered chiropractic. He was told he would suffer permanent strength loss in his left arm and hand and that continuing to play football was not in his best interest. After visiting a chiropractor and receiving a series of adjustments and therapies he was not only back on the field playing, but doing so at a higher level than before he sustained the injury.

He went on to attend Grand Valley State University where he completed a curriculum in biomedical sciences and then attended graduate school at the University of Michigan where he studied human nutrition. He worked his way through school as a personal trainer, dietary consultant, and assistant high school football coach. He ultimately decided that chiropractic school was a better fit for him and more closely aligned with his views on health and natural healing than traditional medicine. He chose to attend Palmer Chiropractic College. While in school he took over 300 additional hours of training and seminars focusing on biomechanics, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, and neuromuscular re-education. He graduated with honors in 2012 and has been practicing ever since.
